On January 15th, the 5th China-ASEAN Digital Ecology Cooper Forum was grandly held in Bangkok, Thailand. With the theme of "Shaping a Sustainable and Inclusive Digital Future", the forum attracted numerous government officials, industry leaders, business representatives from China and ASEAN countries to participate. As a leading global information and communications technology enterprise, China Information and Communications Technology Group was invited to participate in the forum and in high-level dialogue activities, sharing the achievements and cooperation vision of China Information and Communications Technology Group in the field of the global digital economy, and exploring new opportunities in the digital with the guests. During the forum activities, Zhang Yunming, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, met with Chea Nang, Senior Chairman Charoen Pokphand Group, Xie Yongren, CEO of Charoen Pokphand Group and Chairman of True Corporation, and Manat Manavutiv, CEO of True Corporation, to discuss in depth the implementation and development of the digital economy in Thailand. Group Deputy General Manager Luo Kunchu accompanied the activities. As birthplace of China's optical communication and an innovation highland in the wireless communication field, China Information and Communications Technology Group has become an important force in the global information and industry, with business covering six major fields, including fiber optic communication, mobile communication, optoelectronics, and integrated circuits. More than 50 technical service centers have established globally, and products and services cover more than 100 countries and regions, benefiting more than 3 billion people worldwide. FiberHome, as the international brand China Information and Communications Technology Group, continues to enhance its influence and reputation. The ASEAN region, as an important area for the development of the digital economy, has rapid progress in recent years in terms of fiber to the home (FTTH) and 5G network construction. Over the years, FiberHome has actively practiced the concept of technology benefiting mankind and has cumulatively invested more than $200 million in the ASEAN region, successfully promoting the implementation of several digital infrastructure projects. In Thailand more than 2 million FTTH fibers have been successfully laid, and an optical cable factory with an annual production capacity of 10 million core kilometers has been invested and built help achieve the "Thailand 4.0" vision. In the Philippines, more than 5 million FTTH fibers have been completed, and the inter-island submarine network has been strengthened to enhance regional communication capabilities. In Indonesia, FTTH products and services have been provided to more than 30% of households, and 7,00 villages have been served through the wireless network coverage project in remote rural areas. By deepening cooperation with ASEAN, the digital level of ASEAN countries has been improved, enriching the digital life experience of residents, promoting the development of smart cities, online education, industrial automation, and other scenarios, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the economy level in the region. During the forum dialogue, Luo Kunchu introduced the contributions made by China Information and Communications Technology Group to lead industrial innovation through technological innovation and better benefit the world with ICT. Luo Kunchu pointed out that facing the new changes and challenges in the global economy, emerging digital technologies are injecting strong momentum into the global economy, and cooperation and co-construction will be the key to achieving win-win results. Looking forward, China Information and Communications Technology Group will work with ASEAN countries jointly seize the opportunities of the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, and continue to expand cooperation in the fields of "smart city, 5G, big data, and intelligence".
