On the afternoon of August 31th, vice chairman of the CPPCC of Hunan Province Zhang Dafang and his entourages visited Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (stock code: 6869.HK, hereinafter referred to as "Yangtze Company") to survey the subject of "Analysis on Development and Countermeasures in respect of High-end Smart Manufacturing in the City Cluster at the Middle Reaches of Yangtze River". Vice president of Yangtze Company Yan Changkun and vice manager of the Manufacturing Center Cheng Jingfei graciously received them.
Mr.Yan extended his warm welcome to their visit, and then introduced the development and status of smart manufacturing of Yangtze Company. After hearing that key equipment for the production of preforms and optical fibres has been made by the company on its own, Mr. Zhang gave high praise for it.
The employees of Yangtze Company showed Mr. Zhang and his entourages around the production plants producing and testing preforms and optical fibres. He highly praised the manufacturing process of optical fibres from core rod to preforms and high speed wiredrawing. When they saw AGV cars, smart robots of Yangtze Company, they greatly praised the level of smart manufacturing of Yangtze Company. Mr. Yan said, on the basis of being a national smart manufacturing pilot enterprise platform model, Yangtze Company will improve the level of smart manufacturing, establish smart plants, and set up a full set of smart plant solutions for the optical cable and fibre industry, pushing China's optical cable and fibre industry from "Made in China" to "Intelligently Made in China".
