On September 8, 2016, Hubei Province Meeting for Promoting the Development of Intelligent Manufacturing Industry was grandly held in Midea Wuhan Industrial Park. Vice governor of Hubei Province Xu Kezhen, director of Hubei Economy and Information Technology Commission Ouyang Wankun and other leaders were presentat the meeting.54 representative enterprises of intelligent manufacturing, including Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (hereinafter referred to as “YOFC”, stock code: 6869.HK) and Midea Group Wuhan Refrigeration Equipment Co., Ltd., etc., and associations, including Hubei Software Industry Association, Hubei Auto Industry Association and HBTV, etc., also attended the meeting.

At the meeting, the ceremony of prize awarding to Hubei Province Pilot Demonstration Units of Intelligent Manufacturing in 2016 was held. After being selected as the only member of the first batch of national demonstration pilot enterprises of intelligent manufacturing in Hubei Province and even in national optical fibre and cable industry in last year, YOFC was again selected as a demonstration pilot enterprise of intelligent manufacturing in Hubei Province this time and was invited to make experience exchange with attending enterprises. With a theme of “YOFC’s way to optical-fibre intelligent manufacturing”, Vice president of YOFC Yan Changkun introduced to the guests the overall structure, implementation effect, experience and promotion & application and other information of YOFC’s pilot demonstration project, explained YOFC’s development planning for intelligent manufacturing in future and expressed YOFC’s policy demands for actively participating in intelligent manufacturing projects in Hubei Province and creating industrial “cloud platform” to serve manufacturing enterprises in the province, etc.
Currently, the new round of industrial revolution, represented by intelligent manufacturing, has developed rapidly and digitalization, network and intelligentization have become the main trend of manufacturing industry. YOFC actively handles current development trend of manufacturing industry, independently designs and manufactures new production process and equipment of optical fiber perform, so as to constantly improve intelligentization and informationization of production equipment. In view of its next five-year plan for intelligent manufacturing, YOFC will improve intelligentization of production and manufacturing, construct smart factory and develop a complete set of smart factory solution for optical fibre and cable industry to drive the development of China optical fibre and cable industry towards “Intelligent manufacturing in China” from “Made in China”, on the basis of national and Hubei provincial platform for demonstration pilot enterprises of intelligent manufacturing.
