In April this year, in order to implement and practice Made in China 2025, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology decided to carry out 2016 strong base campaign for industrial strong base around Guidance for Implementation of Industrial Strong Base Project (2016 - 2020).
On May 13, bidding announcement of “2016 implementing plan for industrial strong base project” was made. This bid aimed to realize engineering and industrial breakthrough, consolidate industrial development foundation and improve quality and benefit of industrial development around major engineering and the key base materials, core base parts (components), advanced base crafts and industrial technical base (hereinafter referred to as “four bases”) urgently needed in key fields. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Ministry of Finance co-decided to invite bidding publicly for 2016 industrial strong base project.
Recently, an announcement was made for the candidates winning the major bid. In the bidding results related to communications, YOFC ranked first in the “ultra-low-loss fibre” bid section 12; EverPro Technologies Company Ltd. ranked first in the “high-speed optical communication device” bid section 3.
