2016-07-07 11:18:31

Recently, Ao Li, deputy director of Standard Institute of CATR (China Academy of Telecommunication Research) of MIIT, said FTTH covered 446 million residences in China in 2015 with a 74.3% YoY increase, ten times more than that in 2011, while fiber access ports hit 269 million, 4G base stations 1.771 million.

FTTH, xDSL and LAN catch 56.4%, 23.5% and 19% of fixed broadband users in China respectively in 2015.

Subscribers of broadband with access speed of 20 M or above accounted for 33.4% of the total fixed broadband users in China.

20 M broadband user was a smaller portion, compared with FTTH users. Ao Li thought there was much room for improvement of China's fixed broadband access rate.
