China Unicom Receives Approval from MIIT to Conduct 900 MHz LTE FDD Trials in China's 14 Provinces

MIIT approved China Telecom to operate LTE network on 800 MHz band recently. After that, MIIT's document said that China Unicom is approved to conduct 900-MHz LTE FDD trials in Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Anhui and ten other provinces in order to raise use efficiency of spectrum resources.
