Globe Labs, Nexmo to develop voice solutions for SEA

2018-09-18 15:40:10

The Philippines’ Globe Telecom has announced a new partnership between its developer community Globe Labs and business cloud communications company Nexmo focused on developing voice technology solutions for the Southeast Asian market.

The partners plan to capitalize on the growing interest in voice technologies such as AI-powered voice enabled virtual assistants by developing new solutions for enterprises in the Philippines and the wider region.

Using the Vonage Nexmo API platform, the companies plan to combine voice with cloud technology, AI, natural language processing, machine learning, and data analytics capabilities.

Globe Ventures vice president Glenn Estrella said the solutions will be designed to help businesses boost their operational efficiency, customer support functions, customer engagement and loyalty, and ultimately the bottom line. Globe Ventures offers the digital solutions developed at Globe Labs.

"Globe Labs, like Nexmo, share the same belief in using technology to deliver a better customer experience.  In today's digital world, Voice plays a significant role in the customer journey,” he said.

“Our voice solution, IVES, will provide our customers ease of use where they can build a customer journey that is unique to their business and customer needs.”

Globe Labs and Nexmo recently hosted a seminar on the future of voice technologies for C-level executives from across the Philippines at Bonifacio Global City.
