Robi Teams with Local ISP for Cloud Connectivity

2017-11-01 12:31:38

Bangladeshi operator Robi Axiata has entered an alliance with ISP MetroNet Bangladesh in order to provide enhanced connectivity for Robi's cloud service customers.

Under the agreement, MetroNet will provide connectivity for Robi Cloud customers via either point-to-point or internet connectivity.

Customers will be able to opt for public IP connectivity and get bandwidth of their choice with unlimited data allocations.

This marks Robi's first such partnership with an ISP to support its enterprise segment's cloud services business.

Robi Cloud currently provides infrastructure-as-a-service offerings for server co-location and virtual machines. The initiative forms part of Robi's goal of becoming a “next generation digital company” by 2020, the operator said in a statement.

“This partnership marks a significant landmark in Robi’s journey of becoming the leader in the business-to-business space for digital services; it certainly accelerates the country’s drive towards a Digital Bangladesh as well,” the statement reads.
