On May 9, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. (YOFC (Sichuan) Co., Ltd.) held a grand celebration to celebrate its successful completion of four million core km optical cable expansion and renovation project. He Junhua, Vice Mayor of Emeishan City, Wan Shijun, Deputy Director of Emeishan Municipal People’s Congress, Yang Tao, Vice Chairman of CPPCC Emeishan Municipal Committee, and other leaders of Emeishan Municipal Government attended the celebration to express their congratulations. Also present at the celebration were Chairman Wen Huiguo, Director Zheng Huili and Vice President Zhang Mu of Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC for short with the stock code: 6869.HK), Jin Qun, Director of Sichuan Provincial Investment Group Co., Ltd., Vice Chairman and General Manager of Sichuan Chuantou Energy Co., Ltd., Gong Yuan, Board Secretary and Securities Department Manager of Sichuan Chuantou Energy Co., Ltd. and Vice Chairman of YOFC (Sichuan) Co., Ltd., Qin Zhihong, Assistant General Manager of YOFC Financial Center, and Xiao Yi, General Manager of YOFC (Sichuan) Co., Ltd.
YOFC (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. was established and put into operation in 1993, a high-tech enterprise jointly invested by YOFC and Sichuan Chuantou Energy Co., Ltd. Located in Emeishan City of Sichuan Province, it specializes in production and sales of various types of indoor and outdoor communication optical cable products such as the central tube type, layer stranded type, banding type, ADSS and indoor optical cable.
Facing the strong demand of the communication industry in 2015, shareholders of the two sides resolutely decided to expand the production capacity of YOFC (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. from four million core km to eight million core km. Since the launch of this project, with the help and support of the governments at all levels and shareholders of the two sides, all staff members of YOFC (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. worked hard and wholeheartedly, completing the expansion and renovation project in March 2016 with only six months’ efforts.
At the celebration, Wen Huiguo highly affirmed the achievements of YOFC (Sichuan) Co., Ltd. and the arduous work of its management team and employees. He hoped that the company would seize market opportunities, continuously explore the market, adhere to innovation and development and constantly enhance its overall strength to become the most competitive optical fiber and cable manufacturer in west China.
