On December 8, the award ceremony of the“2017 Corporate Social Responsibility Ranking in China: Award for Corporate Excellence” presented by CBN was held in Shanghai. Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (hereinafter referred to as “YOFC”, stock code: 6869.HK) won the Award for Corporate Excellence. The list sets up the awards such as “The Tenth Anniversary Tribute Honor Award”, “Award for Corporate Excellence”, “Award for New Companies”, etc., among which the “Award for Corporate Excellence” mainly aims at praising the companies which fully fulfill the responsibility values with outstanding comprehensive performance. The Vice President of YOFC, Zhou Lijing has accepted the invitation and participated in the ceremony to accept the award on behalf of YOFC.
In the big context of the self-development and creation of profits, the companies shall at the same time undertake the responsibilities to the laborers, consumers, the environment, the society and all the interested parties. This is a vital part in appraising a company honoring its social responsibilities. Since the debut of the “Corporate Social Responsibility Ranking in China: Award for Corporate Excellence” in 2007, the appraisal lasting for ten years is also the ten years for the appearance, rooting and growing of the social responsibilities assumed by the Chinese companies. This appraisal in this year is themed at “Benevolent Merchant · Responsibility and Impact”, goes through almost half a year of Q&A research, face-to-face interviews with company leaders, assessment by experts, news reviews and the like to finally settle the winners. In the appraisal list of this year, YOFC, Yili Group and Dongfeng Nissan have won the “Award for Corporate Excellence”.
