YOFC was invited to participate in 2017 high-class forum of Chinese information and communication industry development

On 26th September,  the 2017 high-class forum of the development in information and telecommunication industry was hold solemnly in Beijing. Taking the theme of “Big wisdom, Big connection, Big financing”, this forum made in-depth discussion of the responsibility and mission facing toward information and telecommunication industry, the emerging challenges and creative thought in this field. Zhang Feng, the member of the Party and the General-engineer of MIIT, Wu Jichuan, the Former Minister of MPTC and MII, and Xi Guohua, member of CPPCC National Committee and Honorary President of Enterprise Association issued important statement during the forum. Zhao Houlin, the Secretary-General of ITU delivered a video speech. Tong Jilu, the General Manager of China Tower, Chen Zhongyue, Deputy General Manager of China Telecom, Li Zhengmao, Deputy General Manager of China Mobile and Han Zhigang, Vice President of China Unicom also interpreted keynote speeches. Dong Xiaozhuang , the Deputy General Manager of China Tower, hosted this summit in the morning.

Miao Jianhua, the President of China Association of Communications Enterprises, delivered the opening speech and interpreted this years forum profoundly. He pointed out,“big wisdom, big connection and big creation” will be the trend and tide for information communications industry to seize and to layout. This trend, as the theme of this forum, are expected that all parties should build consensus and make layout in advance, thereby better serving the national modernization construction and contributing to the realization of the “two century-old dreams”.

As the representative of optical fiber and cable industry, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (hereinafter referred to as"YOFC", stock code:6898.HK) was invited to attend the meeting where Zheng Xin, the director of the company, delivered a speech with the theme of the ‘one way and one road initiative practised by Changfei company’. Mr Zheng made a comprehensive analysis of the opportunities and challenges faced by fiber and optical cable industry and introduced international layout and development program of YOFC in recent years. He briefly indicated that Internationalization was the strategic development orientation of YOFC. The countries along the One Belt and One Road initiative were relatively lagging behind in terms of informational level which generated strong desires for them in constructing communication network, thereby boosting decent target market for YOFC’s internationalization. Lately, under the national guidance of One Belt and Road initiative, YOFC successively established four fiber joint ventures in  Myanmar, Indonesia,South Africa which brought dramatic growth of the exports of optical fiber and cable and ensured YOFC’s leading position in optical connection suppliers. In the future, YOFC will insist on and implement the advocation of One Belt and One Road, profoundly launch internationalization strategy and provide the optical connection solutions the global clients satisfied with.

The high-level forum of China information and telecommunication development industry is a grand meeting where converged governments, telecom operators, equipments and optical and fiber suppliers, etc. Each generation of forum will choose the most urgent, strategic and prospective subject as its theme, convoking the high-level elites together to deliver seminars. It has become one of the most important forums in information and communication field.
