On 19th of September, Wan Yong, the Deputy Secretary of Wuhan Municipal Committee and Mayor of Wuhan, led principals of Research Office of Wuhan Municipal Government, Supervision Office of Wuhan Municipal Government, Wuhan Municipal Economic and Informatization Committee and Wuhan East-lake High-tech Development Zone to the Science and Technology Park of Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (hereinafter referred to as YOFC, stock code: 6869.HK) for inspection. Director Zheng Huili, executive director and president Zhuang Dan, vice-president Yan Changkun, honorary vice president Zhang Mu and others attended the reception.
President Zhuang reported to Mayor Wan and his companions of current production and operation situations of YOFC as well as the establishment of Science and Technology Park in producing optical fibre and cable, proposing a list of problems to be coordinated and solved by the government. In the first half of year 2017, the total revenue of YOFC accomplished about RMB 4.64 billion,representing an increase of approximately 26.2% over the same period in 2016. In recent years, YOFC has been successively rated as one of the first Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Enterprises, Individual Champion Demonstration Enterprises in the Manufacturing Industry and Excellent Industrial Projects of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology domestically. Mayor Wan praised fruitful achievements that YOFC achieved within these years and fully commended that YOFC has achieved the goal of No.1( world’s largest optical fibre and cable supplier) in the World and encouraged the enterprise to march the output value to RMB 10 billion and 100 billion in nearest future. As for the list of problems mentioned before, Mayor Wan commended Wuhan East-lake High-tech Development Zone and relevant functional departments directly under the government to enhance urban cooperation for a quick solutionat site. Later President Zhuang accompanied Mayor Wan and his companions to visit the plant of YOFC Science and Technology Park. In the fibre and cable dispatch and command center, when mayor Wan realized the eco-benefit that YOFC-invented operational management model of intelligent optical fibre and cable dispatch and command system brought, he appreciated YOFC’s achievements in informatization of optical fiber and cable production.
In recent years,under the guidance and with the help of Wuhan Municipal Government and the government of Wuhan East-lake High-tech Development Zone, YOFC has made remarkable achievements in technical innovation and intelligent manufacturing and become the world's largest supplier in providing optical fibre perform, optical fibre and cable. In the future, YOFC will be inhering the spirit of innovation and enlarging the industrial scale based on its advantages in boosting regional economy.
