Recently, 4 indoor optic fiber cable products of Jiangsu Hengtong Optic-Electric Corporation Ltd,. have passed certification of CPR, of which 1 product reached B2ca level, the highest CPR certification level of domestic public reports for optic fiber cable industry. CPR Certification is a kind of CE certification. As a new EU requirement for cable (Regulation 305/2011), it has officially replaced construction product’s directive on July 1st 2013. It is suitable for all types of cables that are available on market and will be permanently placed in buildings or civil engineering facilities, including power supply cable, circuit supply wiring, control cable, communication cable, optical cable etc. At the moment by evaluation of cable’s reaction to fire, the demand for fire-resistant level is still under development. Cables are divided into 7 levels of Aca, B1ca, B2ca, Cca, Dca, Eca and Fca. For the cable reaching Cca level or above need to launch the product evaluation and the verification of same performance (AVCP system), proofing that the factory has the batch production ability of high quality products.
The constructional materials involved in health, safety and environmental protection need to be attached with CE logo before entering into the EU market. For constructional cable, it is also required to be certified by CE. The implementation of the EU CPR regulation has a clear requirement for constructional cable, and put forward the enforceable implementation date from June 10th 2017 to July 1st 2017.
