On March 21-23, the 41st Optical Fibre Communication Conference was held solemnly in the L.A. Convention Center, California, USA. Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (Stock Code: 6869.HK，hereinafter referred to as “YOFC” below) appeared in the exhibition, and its booth, with an extremely modern and highly technological design idea, attracted many distinguished guests and visitors present at the exhibition, enhancing YOFC’s image of technologically leading.
As a world leading supplier of optical fibre preform, optical fibre and optical cable, YOFC mainly demonstrated its new-type optical fibre, communication devices and modules, active optical cable and data center wiring solution. Particularly the performance demonstration of the two kinds of new-type optical fibre (super-low-attenuation large-effective-area G.654 optical fibre and broadband OM5 multimode optical fibre) became top highlights in the booth of YOFC undoubtedly. Since the release in 2015, YOFCYuanbei® super-strength, super-low-attenuation large-effective-area optical fibre has realized great lift of performance, with attenuation typical value down to 0.159dB/km from 0.168dB/km at the beginning. The fibre demonstrated in its booth in this exhibition showed an attenuation of only 0.156dB/km. Yuanbei® super-strength super-low-attenuation large-effective-area optical fibre has been used in trunk line networks of China Unicom and China Mobile, preparing powerful supports for arrangement of 400G. The booth also presented another star, namely YOFC’s latest new product 超贝® broadband OM5 multimode optical fibre, which can guarantee high band width in the range of 850nm~950nm wavelength and be used for WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing) of short wavelength. The product improves multimode optical fibre’s transmission capacity by several times and will be widely used in future high-speed data centers. During the exhibition, YOFC’s booth offered demonstration of single-piece optical fibre 100G transmission of the product, reporting no error code in a 200m transmission distance as the instrument showed. Super-low-attenuation optical fibre and multimode optical fibre are two pearls in the crown of communication optical fibre. Exhibition of the two products embodies YOFC’s world-leading technological strength in single-mode fibre and multimode fibre. On the site of the exhibition, excellent performance of the two kinds of fibre attracted a lot of visitors, made dynamic atmosphere on the spot and contributed to conclusion of multiple cooperation intentions.
