HTGD Participates in OFC with New Products, Its Internationalization Accelerates

As the world’s most important event in the field of photo-electricity and optical communication, the 41th OFC (Optical Fiber Communication Conference), as scheduled, has its grand opening on 21st March, local time in Anaheim, California, USA. Professionals from around the world gathered in Anaheim to share knowledge and establish business connections with each other so as to boost the whole industry altogether. In the exhibition, Hengtong (HENGTONG OPTIC-ELECTRIC co., ltd), as one of the leading cable manufacturers in China, exhibited its high-tech products that were developed in the past two years, presented its great achievements as well as shared with its global partners the advanced technology and concepts in the field of optical communication.

Zhijian Wang, vice-general manager from the International Business Department in HTGD, introduced the company’s main products, including products like ultra-length optical fiber perform, low loss ultra large core area, ODN (optical distribution node) and submarine optical cable etc. Among them, products like optical fiber both for submarine and land use with a high speed of 100G/400G, bending-proof optical fibers used in narrow space, optical cable with or without long distance relay, high voltage grade submarine optical cable and so on were presented as HTGD’s highlights and key products in display.

In recent years, HTGD has answered actively to the national policies so as to approach the goal of internationalization, in which Mr Wang is quite confident. According to Mr Wang, “the largest advantage and core competitiveness HTGD has in the overseas market lie in the whole information communication and electric power industry chain it established and its ability to provide the international clients with one-stop integrated services. Such “internationalized measures” in the process of innovative research and development, quality control and decision-making altogether formed the company's core competitiveness in the international market.”

 

 

Mr Wang made further explanation in this case:” In order to improve its competitiveness and to stay ahead in the industry, HTGD has always taken “internationalization” as its guide of development strategy. An important part of daily work of the company's top management and technical personnel is to support the business of international market. Such work was even considered as a standard to evaluate the personnel’s year-end performance. Policies like constructing factories with lean manufacturing technologies, information-based management and intelligence operationcultivating international market personnel in echelon are also meant for strengthening our current market position.”

 

This year, the overseas market for optical communication is expanding steadily compared to the domestic market. The markets in the developed countries such as in Europe and America are now recovering gradually. There will also be a certain degree of growth in the Asian and African Markets.
 
Mr Wang said that while stabilizing the traditional Asian markets such as Thailand and Indonesia, HTGD will also step up efforts to develop the African Market and step in the American market and other high-end markets. The expected output value of overseas business in the next 3 years will see a rapid rising.
