YOFC was Awarded the Honorary Title of National Quality Management Benchmarking Enterprise

 In August 6, 2015, Yangtze Optical and Fibre Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC) was awarded the honorary title of National Quality Management Benchmarking Enterprise by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

 Since Chinese State Council suggested the change from speed to quality, the transformation from manufacturing to creation, and Internet+ and other macroeconomic policies, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has organized evaluation activities of 2015 national quality benchmarking enterprise for selecting a number of outstanding corporations which realized quality control capability and improved service quality level in the quality controlling process informatization, integrated collaborative operations in production process, remote customization, cloud after-sale service, remote monitoring and maintenance and etc. In July 24, YOFC submitted YOFC’ Experience in Total Quality Management andInformatization Report after careful preparation. In August 3^rd, the report passed the first round and won the qualification and opportunity of scene reply in Beijing on 5^th August.

 Almost 42 enterprises entered in the second round, which included Huawei, Weichai Power, Hisense, Yili and YOFC. Several experts gave YOFC credit for its total quality management and informatization integration, production and intelligent manufacturing integration, informatization and knowledge management and security integration, and information system integration. In particular, the independent research and development of YOFC that optical fibre and cable manufacturing execution system (MES) gained critical acclaim from experts and other enterprises. MES has the function of automatic data acquisition, visual-based quality control, quality control and management in different processes, production personnel performance statistics, equipment efficiency monitoring, and etc. Meanwhile, in the stage of reply, Quality Assurance Manager Zhang Guanghua and Information Technology and Continuous Improvement Manager Assistant TuJinge answer questions presented by experts and judges one by one.The final evaluation results announced that YOFC won the title of National Quality Management Benchmarking Enterprise.

 Quality is the life of the product and management is the soul of the enterprise, thus, providing customers high quality products in the strict quality management procedures is YOFC’s never-ending pursuit.YOFC has been working onestablishing and improving the practices of quality management system and introducing advanced quality management program for making sure each production process in strict and scientific quality control.On 10 July 2015, YOFC signed China’s first optical fibreand cable industry convention that Optical Fibre and Cable Industry Product Quality Self-discipline Convention. The Convention aims to promote enterprises’consciousness in implementingthe Convention, to expand the influence of industry and enterprises, to highlight the social responsibility of the optical fiber and cable industry and the solemn commitment of state to consumers.All along, YOFC attaches great importance to the quality management and thus carries out a series of activities, such as YOFC Quality Year and Quality Knowledge Contest. In the same time, YOFC also uses QC group activities to improve product quality and innovation and operation capabilities of employees.

 In the future, YOFC will communicate and share project experiences in the Manufacturing Enterprises Best Practices Exchange Meeting that held by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Hopefully, through the continuously communication and learning, Chinese enterprises’ quality management level could be improved considerably.
