On the afternoon of June 23, 2015, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company and Qianjiang City Government signed investment cooperation framework agreement in Hubei Qianjiang.
According to the investment cooperation framework agreement, YOFC will construct Science and Technology Park in Hubei Qianjiang Jianghan Salt Chemical Industrial Park (hereinafter referred to as the "Yangtze Qianjiang Technology Park").According to the plan, the science and technology park is divided into three stages to construct, and the first phase of the project with a total investment of more than RMB 1 billion yuan, will be the construction of three projects: YOFC and Shin-Etsu Chemical Industry Co.,a joint venture building prefabricated fibre project, YOFC wholly owned optical fibre and optical fibre prefabricated stick project and silicon tetrachloride raw materials joint venture project, is expected in 2016 under half of the year put into production.
Jianghan Salt Chemical Industrial Park is located in the northwest of Qianjiang City, Qianjiang City Government in accordance with the development of circular economy ideas to set up a industrial park. At the signature ceremony, Wen Huiguo, chairman of YOFC BoD, said the brightest spot of YOFC Qianjiang Science and Technology Park project is to use “developing circular economy” as philosophy, the establishment of optical fibre preform and optical fibre and cable main chemical raw materials industry base, further strengthen industry chain operations, greatly enhance the YOFC in core products, especially optical fibre preform of competitive advantage, which in the optical fibre and cable industry of China and set a new benchmark. He hoped that both the YOFC or of Qianjiang City Government, YOFC Qianjiang technology park construction are able to achieve better economic benefit, social benefit and the benefit of science and technology.
