FiberHome: Easy O&M, All in iWork

2019-12-09 15:34:53

The arrival of the 5G era in 2019 brings a lot of opportunities and challenges for telecom carriers.

In terms of opportunities, the 5G featured with eMBB, uRLLC and mMTC will bring a new information revolution to our life and work. The challenges that 5G brings to telecom carriers are diverse. From the aspect of construction maintenance management alone, the quality management of a large number of construction work, the storage and use of construction material, and the centralized management of decentralized work all are new challenges compared to traditional work.

In general, it is to improve quality, reduce costs, and increase efficiency among a large number of site construction and maintenance, as well as to eliminate the difficulty in formal commercializing of 5G. But how?

In fact, FiberHome has already carried out the research and development of new solutions based on the series of special circumstances in the 5G era, and has completed the commercialization of the iWork project information management platform. The goal of the iWork is to realize the automation of information management in decentralized work in handle problems like high cost, low efficiency, etc. This series of new construction and maintenance can meet the goals of quality improvement, cost reduction and efficiency improvement.

In terms of functional structure, the iWork is mainly composed of four parts:

1. The WEB subsystem mainly implements material management: personnel dispatch management, material management (inventory warning, demand management, entrance management, distribution management, consumption statistics, inventory counting), statistical analysis, system management (warehouse management, area management, user management)

2. GIS subsystem realizes personnel intelligent dispatch monitoring and management: personnel trajectory management, map dispatch management, real-time monitoring and management

3. The Android App mainly implements personnel management: order management, sign-in management

4. WeChat mini-program to achieve project quality and efficiency management: PMO indicator push, daily output monitoring, project weekly report management, problem risk management, security incident notification

Through the data of the above four parts, the entire platform completes the information management of the entire engineering and maintenance project. Integrating mega data informatization and decentralization with maintenance work it can actualize the idea of “Internet + engineering / maintenance”.

Take the country P project as an example. Its mobile equipment maintenance staff exceeds 7,000, covering 32 areas, and the average capacity of daily order exceeds 5,000. The number of mobile personnel is large and the mobility is high. At the same time, the original working mode is inefficient, the material management is unknown, and material lost is huge.

In terms of materials, an average of 150 requests for materials per month is required, and the minimum application procedure runs for 5 days; PMO and the supply chain require 2 people and 2 hours each time to check the accounts, and the total workload equals to 600 hours / 1 person (150 * 2 * 2) (About 3.5 person-months). However, with iWork, single material request can be completed within one day, the efficiency is increased by 5 times, and the workload is decreased to 3.5 person-months.

In terms of progress reporting, it has reduced the average working hours from 5.5 person-months (1000 hours / 1 person) to 10 minutes for all reports needed, increasing efficiency by 99%. Talking about paperless office!

In terms of overall cost, it achieved 22 man-months of monthly improvement in man-hours, reduced paper costs by 120,000 sheets / month, saved workload to 9 person-months, and finally reduced costs by 540,000 per year.

With iWork system, the project information management, the overall goals of cost reduction, quality improvement and efficiency can be realized for the customer, which enhancing customer's overall strength in domestic market competition.

In order to help telecom carriers quickly deploy the 5G market and seize the opportunity, FiberHome is still further diversifying the overall functions of the iWork system's information platform, while create convenience for usage.
