YOFC (Shanghai): Shenzhen New Branch Officially Put into Operation

On July 20th, the Shenzhen Branch of YOFC (Shanghai) was officially put into operation, which marks a significant step ahead for YOFC (Shanghai).

 

Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company is a Sino-foreign joint venture registered and established in Wuhan, Hubei Province in May 1988, formally known as “Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Co., Ltd.”; the company was reorganized to be a foreign-funded joint stock company in December 2013 and renamed “Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company”, with its key shareholders including China Huaxin Post and Telecommunication Economy Development Center, Draka Comteq B.V and Wuhan Yangtze Communications Industry Group Co., Ltd. YOFC is the world's largest supplier of optical fibre preform and optical fibre as well as the world's second largest supplier of optical fibre cable, mainly producing and selling a variety of standard optical fibre preforms, optical fibres and optical cables widely used in communications industry, and also designing and customizing special optical fibre and cable of the specifications specified by customers, including integration system, engineering design and services. The company has the most complete combination of optical fibre and cable products, offers a variety of optical fibre and cable products and related solutions for global communications industry and other sectors (including utilities, transportation, petrochemical and health care) and provides quality products and services in more than 50 countries and regions in the world. Since it formally went into operation in 1992, its production and sales of optical fibre and cable products has ranked first in China for 23 consecutive years and constantly maintained the top three among global optical fibre and cable manufacturers.

 

The establishment of Shenzhen Branch will further expand the share of YOFC (Shanghai) in the market of special optical fibre cable as well as the influence of the brand. It is reported that the new branch is located in the Guangming New District, Shenzhen with transportation quite convenient for workers. It covers an area of over 8000 square meters and is equipped with a modern factory and automation machines. The Company now has 4 functional divisions in total, namely research and development department, production department, sales division and operating department. It is founded mainly to produce and sell soft optical cable and special cable. As of late 2016, it aims to reach a capacity of 1 million fiber-km and a sale of 100 million RMB. The clients mainly are distributed in the southern and central part of China.
