During October 21st–25th, 2019, the 17th ANQ Congress 2019 Quality Innovation for Sustainability was greatly held in Bangkok, Thailand. Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable Joint Stock Limited Company (YOFC) (Stock Code: 601869.SH, 06869.HK) won the ARE-QP Award, the highest award for quality management in Asia, thanks to our best practice and outstanding performance in quality management, being the first enterprise in the optical communications industry of China to win this award. This is another important award of YOFC after winning China Quality Award in 2017 and EFQM Global Excellence Highly Commended 2018.
Asian Network for Quality (ANQ) is a leading quality practice and management organization in Asia. It was established in 2002 to promote the rapid development of quality management in Asia. To date, it has witnessed 19 non-profit quality organizations in many countries and regions, including China, Japan, India, Korea, and Singapore. In order to motivate outstanding organizations and individuals, ANQ has set up two awards: ARE-QP Award (for organizations) and Ishikawa-Kano Award (for individuals).
The ARE-QP Award is the most important award for quality management in Asia, and jointly rated by the member countries and regional quality associations. Five award-winning enterprises and 20 excellent papers were selected in the conference. More than 300 academic and industry representatives from nearly 30 countries attended the conference.
