World Telecommunications Day

Today marks annual "World Telecommunications and Information Society Day" which falls on May 17. This year the theme is "ICT entrepreneurship for social impact". When the Internet is changing traditional industries, ICT is the pacesetter which not only provides basic capabilities, but also directly provides application solutions at the upper level. In the tide of mobile Internet, ICT has become an area of entrepreneurship and innovation, too.

 

China's ICT industry is ushering in a new historical opportunity in 2016. 2016 marks the 50th anniversary of optical fiber invention. While reviewing the history of optical fiber development, the industry is looking back at the development of China's optical communication industry through this opportunity.
