Hengtong Sparkles Russian Communications Exhibition, Wisdom Is About to Be Connected in The Future

From 24 to 27 April 2018, SVIAZ EXPO COMM MOSCOW 2018, acting as the largest professional communication and information technology exhibition in Russia and the CIS region, as well as the world's leading communications and network equipment manufacturer and service provider's display platform, grandly opened at the Moscow Ruby Exhibition Center.

Hengtong, the high-quality global information and energy service provider, shined at this grand exhibition with its silicon photonics, FTTX, the flexible access to FTTH, industrial electrical connections, dynamic environment monitoring system, elevator wireless coverage, rail transit and other series of solutions and new products, all of which are in great market demand in Russia. During this period, Network Telecom had the honor to interview Lu Chunliang, Vice President of Hengtong Group and Communications Industry Group, witnessing the unique products and solutions that shine in the international arena.

Russia, locating in the east of Europe and the northern part of the Asian continent, is the main link between East and West. With China's "Belt and Road" initiative, the Silk Road has once again become a link between China and the West on world map, promoting cooperation and communication from relevant parties. As an important strategic partner of Belt and Road's strategy, the Russian market possesses great potential and development prospects. According to the data, the market demand for Russian electronic information products is nearly 10 billion US dollars, while the local market can only provide about 30 percent. That means the rest demand requires import, among which communications equipment demand occupies the first place.

Hengtong this time brought FTTH system solutions, micro air-blown cables solutions, ocean energy and information network solutions, industrial intelligence solutions, and railway energy and information network solutions to the Russian market. The FTTH integrated solution includes active and passive optical devices and access network solutions for local fiber optic cable. Lu introduced that micro air-blown cables solutions are mainly used in Europe and the United States, and Hengtong also carried the entire optical fiber cable solution intended for Russian exhibition. In terms of ocean energy and information networks as well as railway energy and information networks solutions, both were based on an application in the industry of energy and Information. When it comes to the overall industrial automation solution, it was also the intelligent manufacturing solutions aimed at Russia.

Adhering to international strategy of "keeping an eye on global market, following Belt and Road's initiative", Hengtong attaches great importance to Russian market. To be more specific, Lu analyzed the status quo of FTTH communications in Russia and concluded the following comments. First, Russian narrowband and broadband have become the current situation. Second, Russia's FTTH communications are also at different stages, some places in FTTH stage while other places still in the FTTC or FTTD stage. The third characteristic is that the Russian side is still in the phase of coexistence of copper cables and optical cables. In China, the entry of optical cable and retreat of copper one is thoroughly finished, so Russia is in the development phase same as the situation several years ago in China. And because Russia is currently using a roof connection, which is not the way in Asia, Europe, and North America, Hengtong specializes in a solution for the Russian market. Meanwhile, Hengtong also has transformed all the processes to adapt to the ultra low temperature environment in Russia. For instance, when choosing a cable connector, Hengtong successfully uses the raw material of metal instead of plastic parts to achieve the effect of low temperature resistance. Besides the low temperature resistance, the optical fiber optic cable product also realizes the structural way of resisting tension, so as to adapt to the Russian market perfectly.

It is understood that the theme and highlight of the exhibition is mainly in the fields of intelligent interconnection between communication and life, smart city as well as Internet of things. Either in domestic or global market, the whole industry is heading to intelligentization and informatization. And the technology such as big data, artificial intelligence and 5G will see the early arrival of the age of Internet of things. Lu expressed that the industry is still in its infancy in the areas of the Internet of things, intelligent connectivity, smart cities and the future of wisdom. But if there is demand there will be market and there will be opportunities.
