Tiger Cable System, Rapid Telecom Sign trategic Deal

Tiger Cable System, a consortium formed to operate an international terrestrial cable system from the Arabian Gulf to Europe, has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Rapid Telecom, a licensed Bahraini telecommunications and information services company. Tiger cable system is a consortium formed to build and operate international terrestrial cable system from the Arabian Gulf to Europe crossing Iraq, Kurdistan Iraq and Turkey to Europe.

 

Tiger topology is based on utilising existing network of operators in the region in order to reduce total cost of the system and reduce the construction time of the cable. Tiger project manager Kassim Hassani said once fully implemented, Tiger cable system will provide high-speed broadband and low latency connectivity from the Middle East to Europe.
