NEC will be an exhibitor at this year’s CeBIT digital business expo, the company has announced.

facial recognitionIn a statement, NEC said it will show off solutions based on AI, cloud, and Internet of Things technologies, and that offer smart city and public safety applications. The company also said it invites attendees to visit its stand to see sophisticated video analysis and computing technologies, and “the world’ most accurate face recognition”.

That last part refers to NEC’s recent triumph in National Institute of Standards and Technology testing. The company’s facial recognition technology attained the top ranking in NIST’s Face in Video Evaluation, clearly demonstrating the value of its facial biometrics technology in applications like detecting suspicious individuals in crowds and passively scanning passengers passing through airport security.

CeBIT runs from March 20th to 24th in Hannover, Germany, and NEC will exhibit its tech from its stand in Japan Pavilion Hall 4.
