True Corp expands convergence platform to cover IoT

2018-11-18 17:16:42

Thailand's True Corporation has signed an expanded contract with Amdocs aimed at enhancing the operator's convergence platform to support IoT services for enterprises and consumers.

True completed a deployment of the Amdocs Multiplay platform in January as part of plans to drive growth through the delivery of converged telecoms, pay TV and digital services.

Now the deployed platform has been expanded to allow True to add IoT services for both enterprises and consumers to the product line-up, with multiple IoT devices supporting a single mobile number.

“Our commitment to continuously improving customer experience, while delivering compelling offerings and digital services, has been consistently fueling our growth,” True Corporation CIO Dr Viriya Upatising said. “With the launch of IoT services we further enable our customers’ digital lifestyle.”

“The connected world is all about IoT and True is helping to lead the way with its successful roll out of these services for both enterprises and consumers,” Amdocs CMO Gary Miles said.

“With the addition of IoT, which is heading for mass adoption in 2019, True will be able to offer their customers a complete connected world offering.”
