Shrewsbury, PA (March 15, 2017) IWCS, Inc., producer of the International Cable & Connectivity Symposium, and UL, LLC, a global independent safety science company, have collaborated to establish a regional Asian conference in Shanghai, China. The UL and IWCS China 2017 Cable & Connectivity Symposium is the region’s leading forum for the exchange of information on technical innovations and solutions in the industry. The symposium takes place April 25 to 27, 2017 at the Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Centre. To register and learn more about the symposium, visit the conference website: http://ulandiwcschina.org/.

Based on the IWCS educational symposium format, the China symposium will offer over 70 peer-reviewed papers and presentations in 12 compelling sessions over three full days. This premier event is an excellent opportunity to participate in discussions on regional topical issues, learn about new technologies and trends in cable and connectivity, and network with other global industry professionals. Attendees also have the opportunity to participate in the Professional Development Courses Certification Program.

The UL and IWCS China 2017 symposium committee has generated an extremely high-caliber program, making the symposium a premier platform for discussion of ideas and innovations to advance connectivity solutions. This year, IWCS Inc. events have been strengthened with connectivity content and industry presence, providing interaction with technical and supply-chain professionals on the connectorization of cabling infrastructure.

A Plenary luncheon session will feature a speaker from Cisco Systems giving a dynamic Keynote titled “Internet of Things (IoT) Solutions – Impact on Network Demand/ Infrastructure.” This presentation will offer inspiring, visionary concepts to drive innovations around future explosive demand for data/video, including Connected Cars, Manufacturing 4.0 and other impacts on Hyper-Scale Data Centers.

The Executive Track program will feature prominent speakers from the critical supply chains serving the industry. Attendees will hear from experts in fiber, copper and materials markets and receive vital industry data with key market and economic outlooks.

At the two-day Technical Symposium, the cornerstone of the conference, speakers will present new and innovative peer-reviewed papers on global research and development for wire and cable materials, connector/interconnect technologies, designs, components, fabrication, performance, testing and applications.

The Professional Development/Training Courses constitute an industry-recognized certification program, featuring annual Core courses in fiber, copper and materials providing basic technology information helpful to those new to the industry. Participants have the opportunity to achieve a certificate of recognition for completing each of the core courses.

Additional elective courses deliver leading-edge information on emerging technologies and practices to engineers, scientists and other cable and connectivity professionals. This year, new elective courses focus on codes and standards and HDBaseT installer training.

DSM and Heraeus Quarzglas are sponsoring a unique Hospitality Reception Wednesday evening with a Boat Cruise on the Huangpu River that provides a view of the beautiful Shanghai lights.
